7th November 2019: Emovis, a mobility solutions provider, is proud to announce that it is launching the first-ever podcast which focusses on the issue of mobility and transport in Ireland: ‘Going Places’. The debut episode will air on 27th November, on Emovis’s YouTube channel and LinkedIn page. The podcast is hosted by renowned Irish broadcaster Aidan Power, who has featured on RTÉ, Virgin Media One, and the BBC.

Each video episode will see Aidan take to the road in a Toyota CHR Hybrid to interview a leading figure within the Irish Transport and Mobility ecosystem. All of the interviews will take place over the course of a car journey. Emovis is launching the podcast with the goal of facilitating the sharing of information and advancing the national dialogue in Ireland regarding the future of transport and mobility across the island.

Darren O’Reilly, Head of Marketing and Communications for Emovis in Ireland said: “Emovis is incredibly excited to launch ‘Going Places’, which we believe will facilitate important conversations on the area of transport and mobility in Ireland. This area is rapidly evolving, as technology allows us to travel in new, smarter and more integrated ways. There has never been a more important time to have these conversations, and as a world expert in mobility solutions, Emovis is proud to play any part it can in this.”

The first episode will feature Padraig Kenny a global road management and pricing leader and head of European Digital Services at ARUP. He will be speaking on the topic of mobility as a service.

The launch comes at a pivotal time for Emovis as it enters a new era in the industry. Building on its long reputation in tolling, it has recently won some high profile international contracts for road user management, a key solution in the future mobility landscape.

Some of the challenges facing operators in the transport sector include providing adequate capacity, meeting changing customer expectations and dealing effectively with air pollution, emissions, noise and congestion in an efficient and equitable manner. Emovis aims to tackle some of these challenges by bringing together key stakeholders in this podcast.

New episodes will air every three weeks and will be available on Emovis’s Ireland website www.emovisireland.ie , LinkedIn page and its YouTube Channel (Going Places YouTube Channel)
